blog giveaway!

I've been feeling a little lonely on my blog lately as i've noticed the comments dropping off considerably. supposedly there are 181 readers blog readers out there and i want to hear from you! i know many of you like to stay quiet and just read, but once in awhile, it is nice to know if someone is paying attention to what i am saying! I've decided to give back and am hosting a blog giveaway starting tonight until Friday, Dec. 11th. you will win a pendant similar to the one in the picture below (that comes on a chain), only using the initials of your choice. you can give this as a gift or keep for yourself - it is up to you. i will create it in enough time to get it to you in case you want to give it as a gift.
what do you have to do? just leave me a comment. let me know that you are here and keeping up with me! i thought it'd be fun to talk about our Christmas wish lists. what is on your wish list this year? it can be ridiculous, silly, practical, wishful thinking - whatever! i just want to hear from you. my only other rule is that you have to comment here, on my blog, not on my facebook page when the feed shows up on my wall!

So what is on my christmas wish list this year? I would love a gift certificate to dick blick and then walk into their store and buy anything i wanted without worrying about the final tally! my fantasy Christmas wish would be to go to Spain with a group of artsy girls who also have the same desire to go there. i also have a secret Christmas wish that i will keep to myself as it is a wish just for me. feel free to pass this blog giveaway along in the spirit of giving.

And to my regular commenters, i just want to say thank you!

  6. Your blog post really hit home for me. I often wish people would leave a message on my post instead of on Facebook or commenting when I see them in person. Comments can be so encouraging! So now I try to leave a comments whenever I am visiting sites.
My Christmas wish is to have an awesome wardrobe that will make a statement where ever I am. Of course this would include custom created jewelry and accessories to compliment the outfit!
    Thanks for blogging....

  7. Hi, Kecia! I know how you feel about the comment thing; I recently hosted my first giveaway to boost readership also -- and I'll be doing another one soon! As for my Christmas wish list, every year my mom still asks me for one, even though I'm almost 28! I always used to draw pictures of what I wanted, and this year was no different. My top wish list item is an easel, so I can paint my totes without straining my neck and back. I also asked for canvases because I'd like to start doing paintings. Have a nice Thanksgiving and good luck with your blog!

    Happy Holidays!

  10. I just started visiting your blog via Karen Cole. I had commented that I liked your header to my designer husband and then Karen posted that she knew you. To me that was a sign to follow...
My wish is to sell more of my work, and have more adventurous adventures with new and old friends.

  12. I love your blog and read regularly but have comment challenges. :) The new look is awesome by the way... I usually don't know since I read everything in Google.

My Christmas wish list would be for more art in my life: studio time, classes, retreats, etc... and a pony!

  13. aww, it is nice to hear from you all! i appreciate checking in. i've missed hearing from my readers; but amy brought up some good points - i bet a lot of people are blog reading in such things as google reader, etc. and sorry about the tough time leaving comments; that certainly isn't very helpful! i've got my settings intact, so i think it is a blogger issue as i have it when i go to leave comments on other blogs sometimes too. and i agree with Holly that comments are encouraging. i can also tell how busy we all are - very little time to read even our most favorite blogs! i think i'll add that to my wish list as well, "more free time".

  14. Hi Sweety! Oh I always check in on you but sometimes just operate in a poppin' in real quick mode. I'll do better! :-)

Wishing you and your family a very happy and peaceful Thanksgiving!

  15. Yep indeed I'm guilty of the Reader too. The Reader is great but it sure does enable "lurking" =)
On my real and actual wish list I want a pair of swank stylish but comfy & watertight new boots to go kicking around the NW in. I've worn my old ones just about to death. Good boots are hard to find!
And on my dream list I'd love more space & time to paint!

  28. I always check in Kecia, your creations inspire me! It's hard for me to comment outside of my blog reader because the music people embed always makes my computer freeze!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I also know what you mean about the comment thingie - that's why I took my blog off the FB feed and now just do new posts as a status update. But having said that, comments have dropped down considerably lately! I figure it has do with the approach of the holidays, though. I wish I could fly out for one of your soldering classes! I seriously need a refresher course!
And all I want before Thanksgiving is my unemployment check (they haven't paid me since Halloween!) but I may not even get that. But I am teaching on Saturday! yippeee!!

  39. WOW! Look at the fabulous turn out! I'd like to be in the group of gf's that go to Spain! I love that country. My wish for Christmas is for continued healing for my PTSD, and to finish my book in the next few months. I'd like my children to be content, happy, safe and living their dreams. And I'd especially like my bf, Superman, to be blessed as much as he's blessed me this past year! Thanks for giving us a voice for our Christmas wishes. May all yours come true~
