My friend, kim, came in from Ohio this past weekend. Me, kim, dillon and dill's friend, Anthony, went to the Steampunk World's Fair in Somerset, NJ. We sure had a great time. It was really crowded though and I think the event is growing faster than they can keep up. I only took photos on my iphone this time as it was way too crowded to try and keep my big camera handy. They definitely need to look into a bigger venue for next year. Our biggest complaint was lack of seating. you spend a lot of time walking around and when we were ready to get off our feet - there was no where to sit. Other than that, the people watching was amazing. Elaborate costumes, crazy costumes, weird costumes, skimpy costumes, pirates and more! the variety and originality was really fun. Here's the link from my post last year.

new work:
this one will be added to my website

this one will be going on my website. the doll is made of PMC (precious metal clay) and it is a piece i made last summer at Valley Ridge in Wisconsin while taking a Nina Bagley class. the piece above her head is a sterling Victorian perfume funnel.

this one is at the shoppe in pt. pleasant. it features a tiny vintage metal calendar.

Monday i made 2 other steam punk metalicious necklaces and took them to the shoppe on tues. they sold while i was working that day. i didn't even have a chance to take a picture of them! i was wearing the one above and i think it really helped show them how cool they look!

i think this little guy lives under our deck. we spent a long time watching him today from Tucker's window. he is so cute! tomorrow i am going to leave out some carrots, hay and some of lilo's bunny food for him.
this pigeon made a nest on my mother in law's porch. she was having a tough time having enough room for her nest; so when she was off getting more sticks, my husband added a shelf where she was building and viola! when she got back she had a major renovation. from this picture it looks like she has one egg - but when i went back early this week, i see there is indeed two babies!
here is one of my most favorite flowers, a purple Clematis.
this week i have been busy finishing up grungy/steampunk charms that were intended for a swap. but i've gotten so great feedback on them (especially when i've worn them out) that i think i will be listing them on my etsy site and then making different charms for the swap. here are a few of the steampunk charms.
