big day today

I'm off to Tucker's graduation ceremony. Dillon's prom is tomorrow and then he graduates next week, so lots of major events happening all at once!

update:

it was a lovely ceremony. When they were pushing Tucker in and that traditional graduation music was playing, of course, i started to get very emotional.

they showed a little video highlighting all the graduates (there were 32 of them) - so that was really special to see that. the next step is he will move into the adult education program at the same school. This is state run and budget dependent, so we shall see what that brings!

baby update

Just a quickie post. Tuck's out with his caregiver for the day and jeff and dillon have gone to the movies - I have the house to myself! (Yahoo!) I can't decide if i just want to be a total lounge lizard and watch a movie or do some drawing and painting......

just wanted to update you that a few days ago, one of the cardinal egg hatched! such an amazing thing to see.




this morning, i checked in to see what was going on. Egg #2 still hasn't hatched, not sure what that means. Usually if the egg isn't viable, the momma will remove it. But baby #1 was sure making his presence known to me!

Random product shout out

this is so random for me to be discussing a consumer product, but i just LOVE this stuff! I've got 3 dogs, 2 cats, two sons, said sons rooms, a man cave area, etc. So i spray this all over! I spray it on pillows, sheets, couches, blankets, dog areas, on towels that i rubbed the dogs with, vintage linens that i've handwashed, etc. It's great to pack for trips as well, for that stuff hotel room, etc.

I doesn't have a strong, overpowering scent, but a nice, soft, powdery smell. I find it at Target.

flea market friday next week

can you believe that i have not been to a flea market in A LONG TIME? you know that is rare for me. My friend, Jane and i, are either going to Columbus tomorrow or Ocean Grove on Saturday (or both), so i figured, we could do a Flea Market Friday next Friday, June 10th. If you don't know what FMF is, its just a little blog gathering where you do a blog post featuring items you have found at the flea market, estate sales, antique store, thrift store, etc. Create a blog post for Friday, June 10th and then come over here to log into the linky that you will find under my post. then we can all hop around and see what sort of goodies we have found lately. don't worry, it can be something you found a few months ago, or something you found recently. in other news, tucker is feeling much better. i want to thank everyone for their kind comments and thoughts for my sweetie pie. he went back to school yesterday. he came home very tired, poor guy. hopefully each day will get be better than the next. He's graduating on June 9th though, so he actually doesn't have many days left in the school year.

i randomly did a little sewing a few days ago and created a shower curtain for my bathroom. It's been on my to do list, so i finally tackled it. it's quite heavy! this picture was taken in the hallway as the bathroom is very tiny and it's to hard to snap a photo in there. the shower is one of those stalls, so thus the smaller rod......
